Google Glass Now Available For All US Residencials On Today – Will You be Buying One?

As you no doubt have heard, today anyone can buy Google Glass in the US. You don't even have to line up, just hit Google's Glass page and start trying to feverishly get one before the limited stock runs out.
You'll still have to cough up 1500 USD(Approximetly 90,000 Indian Rupees) to get in on the game, but at least you don't need to be connected to a current Glass Explorer if you've been hanging out to get one for yourself.

Want Glass? You got it. For $1500. | ©PhoneLagecy

Previously, only a select few were allowed to purchase Glass. That's right, you needed to be selected to then buy your way into the wearable device program. Then, those initial Explorers were allowed to invite Friends to also buy Glass.
Now, Google is opening up the field to any adult in the US with 1500 bucks burning a hole in their pocket. You'll also get a spectacle frame or sunglass-style shade included in the deal.
There's no indication of just how many headsets Google has in stock for the buying frenzy, but we bet they won't last long either way. In this one-day-only sale, you'll also get free shades or a frame for your Glass.

Keep in mind that Glass is still very much in its in fancy, and there's a reason Google has kept the Explorer program so limited. Feedback from knowledgeable wearers is key to making the final mass production version viable.
This latest step clearly means Google is getting closer to releasing a widespread consumer model. If you want in on the Explorer program you need to hit up Google's Glass Page starting at 9 am EDT. The offer is only available for those over 18 in the US (or, presumably, with a US postal address).

Will you be picking up Glass? How do you feel about the new crop of wearable devices on the horizon from Apple, Sony and possibly even Facebook?

Google Android 4.4 KitKat Features– have a Look!

Google started its Android journey with
version 1.5 and subsequently evolved it,  the
latest version being the Android 4.1 through
4.3 also called the Jelly bean OS . And now
Google will release the Android 4.4 version,
pretty soon.

Rumors about the next Android OS were in
the news for quite some time, it was also
presumed that the 4.4 version would be
called the Android Key Lime Pie, but it
seems Google has given all the rumors a
break and called it, KitKat.
Google has created a page that confirms the
next ‘Android KitKat’ version. The page also
shows a brief history of all the versions that
have been created. If the word KitKat
reminds you of the Nestle’s KitKat chocolate
bar, well you are right, in fact Google has
partnered with Nestle and preferred calling
their next released as KitKat.

According to Marc Vanlerberghe (Director
Android Marketing), the tasty chocolate has
been their favorite ever since the Android
was created and they couldn’t imagine a
better name. There is no word as to when
this android version will be released. Users
will also get an opportunity to take part in a
competition and win prizes – 1000 Nexus 7
tablets to be won and 50 million Android
robot shaped KitKat bars.

Features Of Android Kitkat:

now translucent and, along with the
navigation buttons, it will melt away to
give your content maximum screen
space. Swipe the edge of the screen to
bring it all back.

Google” and it will begin listening, eager

now, not just websites.

*    Hangouts adds SMS: Hangouts is now
your one-stop message shop, like a
combination of FaceTime and iMessage.

*   Emojis: Emoji characters are available in
the Google Keyboard. You have the
option of setting a different default
texting app if you don’t like Hangouts.

*    Works on older phones: Optimized.memory means faster multitasking and a
more responsive touchscreen. This
should make general skipping around on
your phone faster than ever, but also
means that older phones with as little as
512MB of RAM can now run Android
smoothly … if they ever get the update
to 4.4.

Top 10 Reasons To Root Your Android Phone or Tablet

Android is one of the most open, versatile,
and customizable mobile operating systems
out there.

You may think you don't need
to root your phone, but you'd be surprised
at how much more you can accomplish
with a little work .

Here are 10 reasons
rooting your phone is worth the hassle.

10. Unlock Hidden Features
and Install "Incompatible"
Apps

Sometimes, even Android isn't open
enough to give you some of the features
you want. Either an app is blocked by
carriers, hacks into Android's system files,
or otherwise isn't available. Luckily,
rooting can help with that: you can install
carrier-blocked apps, get features from the
latest version of Android, make
incompatible apps compatible , power up
your hardware , get features like Beats
Audio from other phones, or emulate
exclusive features like those on the Moto
X .

Whatever you want, rooting gives you
the power to do a lot more.

9. Automate Everything

You've probably heard of Tasker, the
awesome app that automates just about
anything on your phone . You don't need to
root your phone to use it, but if you're
rooted, it can do a whole lot more. Certain
tasks, like toggling 3G, GPS, changing CPU
speed, turning the screen on, and others
require root access. So, if you want to get
the full benefit of an app like Tasker,
you'll definitely want to root your phone.

For more automation inspiration, check
out your best Tasker actions , as well as our
most recently featured Tasker tricks.

8. Boost Your Phone's Speed
and Battery Life

You can do a lot of things to speed up your
phone and boost its battery life without
rooting, but with root—as always—you
have even more power. For example, with
an app like SetCPU you can overclock your
phone for better performance, or
underclock it for better battery life. You
can also use an app like Greenify to
automatically hibernate apps you aren't
using—perfect for those apps that always
want to run in the background when
you're not looking .

7. Block Ads in Any App

Look, we of all people understand the
need for occasional ads—it's how we make
money. But ads can also get in the way
and use up data. If you want to block ads
in certain apps or on certain devices,

rooting is by far the best way to do so .

AdFree , AdBlock Plus, and Ad Away are all
great options. Of course, if you aren't
rooted, going into airplane mode works in
a pinch too.

6. Back Up Your Phone for
Seamless Transitions

When you move to a new Android device
—or restore your device to stock for any
reason—you can make your life a lot easier
by backing up your apps and settings first.

That way, you can get your entire setup
back in just a few taps . If you aren't
rooted, you can back up a few things like
apps and data, but you won't necessarily
be able to backup system apps and their
data, or automate the entire process as
well as Titanium Backup can.

5. Remove Preinstalled
Boaltware

Titanium Backup is good for more than
just backups, too. It can also uninstall that
annoying, battery-draining, space-wasting
crapware that comes preinstalled on so
many phones these days—and, sadly, this
feature is root-only . Freeze them first to
make sure your phone operates normally
without them, then delete them completely
to free up that space.

4. Tweak the Dark Corners
of Android

If you're the kind of person that likes to
fiddle with every little feature—both on
the surface and under the hood—rooting
is for you. Whether you want to customize
your keyboard layout with something like
Keyboard Manager or give yourself faster
scrolling, improved multitasking, and extra
themes with Pimp My ROM , rooting gives
you the power to tweak just about any
corner you can think of. If you want to do
it, chances are someone over on a forum
like XDA has created a mini-app or tweak
that will help.

3. Flash a Custom Kernel

Some of Android's most under-the-hood
tweaks require a custom kernel, which you
can only flash with a rooted device.

The
kernel is responsible for helping your apps
communicate with the hardware of your
phone, which means a custom kernel can
give you better performance, battery life,
and even extra features like Wi-Fi
tethering (on unsupported phones), faster
battery charging, and lots more .

You can
flash kernels manually or simplify the
process with something like Kernel
Manager .

2. Flash a Custom ROM

Okay, so you probably already know about
this one—but it's one of the best benefits
of rooting. A custom ROM is basically a
custom version of Android, and it truly
changes how you use your phone . Some
merely bring a stock version of Android to
non-stock phones, or later versions of
Android to phones that don't have it yet.

Some add a few handy features , some add
lots of really unique features , and some
change your operating system from head
to toe . No matter what phone you have—
even if it's a Nexus—we highly
recommend checking out the custom ROMs
out there.

You won't be disappointed.

Note:   As some of you have noted, you don't
actually need root access to flash a custom
ROM—though you will need to unlock your
bootloader (a process that sometimes comes
bundled with root access). Still, it requires
freeing your device from manufacturer
lockdowns, so we've kept it in the list
despite this technicality!

1. Truly Own Your Device

In the end, all of this boils down to one
thing: you own your device, and you
should be able to do with it as you please.

Certain manufacturers and carriers try to
keep that from happening, but with root
access, you truly own your device and
open yourself up to all the possibilities
other parties try to block. Sure, there's
some risk involved , and we don't usually
recommend rooting other people's phones ,
but in the end, you can't put a price on
true openness and control.

What is Rooting?

Now a day's everybody has android phones and tablets. And everybody searching about Android and Android App, They can find the articles about root, and most of those peoples doesn't know what is Rooting?

This is for who doesn't know wtat is Rooting and want to know about Root.

What is "Rooting?"

The Android phone that you have learned to
love and enjoy is running an operating system
that was designed for commercial and private
use. Like most any operating system, several
features have been disabled, either for future
use or to prevent the casual user from causing
permanent damage to the operating system.

"Rooting" is the process in which the limitations
are removed and full-access is allowed.

Once
rooted, the Android phone owner will have more
control over many settings, features and
performance of their phone. Basically, "rooting"
means to get to the root of the operating
system and to have the ability to make global
changes.

Description

Rooting lets all user-installed applications run
privileged commands typically unavailable to
the devices in the stock configuration.

Rooting
is required for more advanced and potentially
dangerous operations including modifying or
deleting system files, removing carrier- or
manufacturer-installed applications , and low-
level access to the hardware itself (rebooting,
controlling status lights, or recalibrating touch
inputs.)

A typical rooting installation also
installs the Superuser application, which
supervises applications that are granted root
or superuser rights. A secondary operation,
unlocking the device's bootloader verification,
is required to remove or replace the installed
operating system. In contrast to iOS
jailbreaking , rooting is not needed to run
applications distributed outside of the Google
Play Store, sometimes called sideloading .

The
Android OS supports this feature natively in
two ways: through the "Unknown sources"
option in the Settings menu and through the
Android Debug Bridge . However some
carriers , like AT&T , prevent the installation of
applications not on the Store in firmware ,
although several devices (including the
Samsung Infuse 4G are not subject to this
rule,  and AT&T has since lifted the
restriction on several older devices.

As of
2012 the Amazon Kindle Fire defaults to the
Amazon Appstore instead of Google Play ,
though like most other Android devices,

Kindle Fire allows sideloading of applications
from unknown sources,and the "easy
installer" application on the Amazon Appstore
makes this easy.

Other vendors of Android
devices may look to other sources in the
future.

Access to alternate apps may require
rooting but rooting is not always necessary.

Rooting an Android phone lets the owner
modify or delete the system files, which in
turn lets them perform various tweaks and
use apps that require root access.

The Android phone that you have learned to
love and enjoy is running an operating system
that was designed for commercial and private
use. Like most any operating system, several
features have been disabled, either for future
use or to prevent the casual user from causing
permanent damage to the operating system.
